Hallia Robinson(she/her) is an undergraduate student majoring in psychology at Rutgers University Newark. She is deeply passionate about mental health, particularly in addressing the unique challenges underrepresented communities face. Witnessing the adverse effects of untreated mental health issues in her community ignited her desire to assist in people's access to mental healthcare and resources. Knowing there are specific groups that are ignored, misunderstood, and high-risk is what drives her. Due to the attitudes toward mental health developed through cultural misconceptions, lack of access to resources, and generational attitudes, she is hoping to break barriers and alleviate misunderstandings through education, advocacy, and creating safe spaces for those in her presence. Involvement in psychology and neuroscience research allows her to learn more about new developments in the field and positions to help her educate others.
