Dr. Mitchell is a postdoctoral researcher in the Delgado Lab, where he joined in September 2025. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and completed a Ph.D. in Cognition & Neuroscience at Temple University under the mentorship of Dr. Chelsea Helion. His research broadly examines affect, self-regulation, and social decision-making, with a particular focus on how information shapes belief updating about trust, similarity, and related social judgments. Using neuroimaging, computational approaches, and ecologically grounded experimental designs, he investigates the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying socioaffective decision-making in complex, dynamic contexts.
