I received my B.S. in biology and psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and my Ph.D. in developmental psychology and neuroscience from UNC Chapel Hill, under the mentorship of Dr. Eva Telzer. I’m interested in how people, in particular adolescents, make decisions within a social context. In particular, I’m interested in the motivational value of social information, and how social rewards and threats contribute to decision-making. I use neuroimaging and longitudinal methods to examine how neurocognitive mechanisms that support social decision-making develop from adolescence to adulthood.
